(NaOH or KOH + Br 2 ) Therefore, option is correct.

(ii)

Sol. Conversion of (III) to (IV) involving rearrangement is slowest step. Species (III) is

electron deficient (N hoes only 6 electron), hence it has a tendency to get its octed

completed by migration of alkyl group. There for option is correct.

(iii)

Sol. Since the reaction is intermolecular, no cross product will be formed.
